How I became a Full-Time Festival Princess

Hi, I’m Mirjam, also known as Festival Princess Aysha.

I’ve always been someone who loves deeply, feels everything, and finds joy in the little moments. Festivals have always been a place where I could fully be myself, free, connected, and surrounded by beautiful energy. People often tell me they love being in my energy, and that’s something I carry with me everywhere I go.

But my journey to becoming a full-time Festival Princess didn’t start in a perfect way.

After Tomorrowland 2023, my life suddenly changed. I became seriously ill and nearly lost my life. What followed was a long recovery of six months.

At that time, I had a physical store where I sold partywear, rave outfits, and my own handmade festival accessories. Because of my illness, it had to close it immediately. There was no time to prepare, no way to transfer ownership, no chance to properly sell the inventory. In a very short time, I lost everything I had worked so hard to build.

After leaving the hospital, my body was still weak. I developed double pneumonia, and I lost a large part of my hair—something that was very personal to me. It was a difficult and emotional period, where everything felt uncertain.

But deep inside, I still felt a strong connection to festivals.

Even though my doctor advised against it, I decided to go to Mysteryland. My favorite DJ, Hardwell, was closing the festival, and something in me told me I needed to be there.

During his set, a friend lifted me onto his shoulders so I could show my Hardwell flag. And then something magical happened, he saw me. He pointed at me and made a heart with his hands. Later, I found out that moment was even included in the official set video.

But the most important part wasn’t being seen.

It was what I felt.

When I got back on the ground, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. I was alive. I was surrounded by my friends. I was fully present in the music I love. In that moment, all the fear, pain, and everything I had been through disappeared.

I felt truly alive again.

That moment changed everything.

I made a promise to myself that 2024 would be my year to celebrate life. I said yes to the things that made me feel alive, and I ended up visiting 47 festivals and events. I even returned to Tomorrowland something I had been nervous about, but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful experiences.

By the end of that year, I realized something very clearly:

I don’t want a life that keeps me away from festivals.

Festivals are where I belong. They are where I feel connected, inspired, and most like myself. They are where I want to create, share, and give my energy to others.

So in 2025, I decided to turn that feeling into my life.

Today, I focus on creating and sharing festival culture in my own way, through my handmade festival accessories inspired by EDM music, through my content, through writing about festivals, and through promoting the events and artists I truly believe in.

Becoming a full-time Festival Princess wasn’t planned.

It was something I grew into, through loss, healing, love, and choosing life again.

And now I would love for you to be part of this journey.

About

Rave vibes and values

I believe festivals are about so much more than music. They are places where people feel free, connected, accepted, and truly alive. I love the moments where thousands of strangers become one family through music, emotion, and shared energy.

My heart belongs to the EDM world — from emotional mainstage moments and powerful drops to magical late-night sets with friends. I love expressing myself through festival fashion, handmade accessories, storytelling, and creating positive energy wherever I go.

My festival bucket list keeps growing and includes dreams like UNTOLD Festival, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland — along with many more beautiful festivals around the world waiting to be discovered.
